Named for Kermit the Frog, who this species resembles when enrolled
Taxonomy
Anataphrus kermiti was named by Amati (2014). Its type specimen is OU 11889, a cephalon/head (nearly complete, enrolled individual), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 77-218. Roadcut along east side of U.S. Highway 77, about 17 km south of Davis, which is in an Edenian carbonate rudstone in the Viola Springs Formation of Oklahoma.
