Taxonomy
Taphacris stenosis was named by Lin (1977). Its type specimen is NIGP 24356, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is YHW 353, Lanping salt mine, Lanping County, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial siliciclastic in China.
