Taxonomy
Platokoleos moxiensis was named by Lin (1977). Its type specimen is NIGP 24362, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is ZK 28-4, Moxie, Mengla County, which is in a Paleocene/Eocene terrestrial siliciclastic in China.
