Callistosiren boriquensis
Taxonomy
Callistosiren boriquensis was named by Velez-Juarbe and Domning (2015). Its type specimen is USNM 540765, a skull (virtually complete adult skull, including the periotic, malleus, incus, and stapes from the left side), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Collazo, which is in a Chattian marine limestone in the Lares Limestone Formation of Puerto Rico. It is the type species of Callistosiren.
