Taxonomy
Scotoharpes lauriei was named by Jell and Stait (1985). Its type specimen is UTGD121586 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is NMVPL1602. Gordon River Road Section. 19 km west of Maydena), which is in a Lancefieldian marine siltstone in the Florentine Valley Formation of Australia.
