Utaetus deustus
Taxonomy
Utaetus deustus was named by Ameghino (1902). Its type specimen is (lost), an osteoderm (fragment of a mobile osteoderm), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barranca south of Lago Colhue-Huapi, Gran Barranca, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial claystone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.
