Eosphargis insularis
Taxonomy
Lembonax insularis was named by Cope (1872). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vincentown, which is in a Thanetian coastal horizon in the Vincentown Formation of New Jersey.
It was recombined as Allopleuron insularis by Weems (1988), Karl et al. (2012); it was recombined as Eosphargis insularis by Weems (2014).
