Taxonomy
Bathyurus (Raymondites) clochensis was named by Swisher et al. (2015). Its type specimen is ROM 61466, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is road cut on HW 68, Cloche Island, approximately 9 km south of Birch Island, which is in a Turinian carbonate mudstone/wackestone in the Cloche Island Formation of Canada.
