Taxonomy
Dryops tenuior was named by Wickham (1912). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Helichus tenuior by Wickham (1920).
