Taxonomy
Aboilus perbellus was named by Wang et al. (2015). Its type specimen is NIGP 160524, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (NIGP collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
