Taxonomy
Mitrandiria sauron was named by Kolibáč (1997). Its type specimen is MfN MB.J.491, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Künow collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Mitrandiria.
