Taxonomy
Leptotarsus lukashevichae was named by Ribeiro et al. (2015). Its type specimen is MZUSP 1594, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (MZSP São Paulo collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
