Sphaerocoelia norica was named by Senowbari-Daryan et al. (2015). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ski piste -Monte Mufara, Madonie Mnts-Piano Battaglia, which is in a Norian/Rhaetian reef, buildup or bioherm carbonate in Italy.
