Karataumantispa carnaria
Taxonomy
Mesithone carnaria was named by Khramov (2013). Its type specimen is PIN 2239/1725, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2239), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Karataumantispa.
It was recombined as Karataumantispa carnaria by Jepson (2015), Jepson et al. (2018).
