Taxonomy
Abax durhamianus was named by Lesne (1926). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Castle Eden boulder clays, which is in a Calabrian/Ionian fissure fill siliciclastic in the Castle Eden Fissure-Fill Formation of the United Kingdom.
