Taxonomy
Cyttaromyia quievreuxi was named by Séguy (1934). Its type specimen is Quievreux 526, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Alsace potash field, Anna pit (Quievreux collection), which is in a Rupelian lacustrine - large mudstone/evaporite in France.
