Taxonomy
Bombacacidites grahamii was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [Type locality: La Regadera Creek near La Donjuana. ]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 53, 21 X 99.3, a microspore (Pollen grain). Its type locality is Regadera UFP 53, Catatumbo, Colombia, which is in an Eocene fluvial-deltaic sandstone/mudstone in the Mirador Formation of Colombia.
