Taxonomy
Otiorhynchites aberranis was named by Lin (1997). Its type specimen is NIGP 128288, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sample NKS, Nan Kwo Shui, Peng Chau island, which is in a Berriasian/Valanginian terrestrial siltstone in the Ping Chau Formation of Hong Kong.
