Taxonomy
Beipiaopsychops triangulata was named by Hong (1983). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Yujiagou, collection 75Bh, Beipiao City, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Haifanggou Formation of China.
It was corrected as Beipiaopsychops triangulatus by Peng et al. (2011).
