Taxonomy
Schizoporella roberti was named by Brown (1958). Its type specimen is MGSV, 53043 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nangeela, sample XXII, which is in an Oligocene/Miocene marine claystone in Australia.
It was recombined as Buffonellaria roberti by Schmidt (2003).
