Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
A. E. González-Guzmán 1967 (Retitricolpites saturum)Pollen grain tricolpate, subsphaeroidal; furrow C α 1, C β 2, C γ 1; sculpture type reticulate (diameter of lumina ± 3 μ); muri simplibaculate, but sometimes these elements not fused and grain seemingly baculate). Polar area rather small. Thickness of the exine (incl. reticulum and bacula) 3.2 μ; ectexine thicker than endexine; wall probably semitectate. Furrows provided with costae colpi.
C. A. Jaramillo and D. L. Dilcher 2001Retitricolpate, mid-sized (40-47 µm), collumelae tall (1.5 µm), reticulate lumina 3 µm wide, muri thin, undulating, tectum sometimes lacking in parts of grain that then seems baculate.
