Taxonomy
Fonsecablatta patricioi was named by Mendes and Pinto (2001). Its type specimen is UNIVALE CH 0011/2, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Fonseca creek, CENIBRA property, which is in a Priabonian lacustrine shale in the Fonseca Formation of Brazil.
