Taxonomy
Striatricolporites digitatus was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [Type locality: Piñalerita Creek near Sabanalarga.]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 6, 16 x 101.9, a microspore (Pollen grain). Its type locality is Pinalerita UFP 6, Llanos Foothills, Colombia, which is in a Paleocene fluvial-deltaic mudstone/siliciclastic in the Arcillas de el Limbo Formation of Colombia.
