Taxonomy
Calymene salteri was named by Rouault (1851) [Néotype : IGR 2100]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is IGR 2100, an exoskeleton.

It was recombined as Synhomalonotus salteri by Thadeu (1949); it was recombined as Colpocoryphe salteri by Cavet and Pillet (1964); it was recombined as Salterocoryphe salteri by Hammann (1977), Turvey (2005).
