Gobiopithecus khan
Taxonomy
Gobiopithecus khan was named by Dashzeveg and Russell (1992). Its type specimen is PSS 27-125, a mandible (Right mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khoer Dzan [SMPE], which is in an Eocene terrestrial gravel in the Ergilin Dzo Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Gobiopithecus.
