Taxonomy
Yuomys huangzhuangensis was named by Shi (1989). Its type specimen is SDM 84001, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dong Huangzhuang, which is in an Eocene terrestrial mudstone/sandstone in the Huangzhuang Formation of China.
