Taxonomy
Smicrips gorskii was named by Bukejs and Kirejtshuk (2015). Its type specimen is AG BB 4932, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Andrzej Gorski collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
