Reigia punae
Taxonomy
Reigia punae was named by Pascual (1983). Its type specimen is MLP 81-XI-15-2, a maxilla (Fragment of left maxilla with M3-4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pozuelos salt flat, Quebrada El Paso, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial horizon in the Geste Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Reigia.
