Itaphlebia ruderalis

Taxonomy

Chrysopanorpa ruderalis was named by Ren (1995). Its type specimen is BH91001/2, an exoskeleton (complete insect with left fore and hindwings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Haifanggou, Beipiao City (GMCB collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian terrestrial mudstone in the Haifanggou Formation of China.

It was recombined as Itaphlebia ruderalis by Cao et al. (2016), Cao et al. (2022).

Synonyms

Protochoristella formosa was named by Sun et al. (2007). Its type specimen is CNU-M-NN2006006, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2006 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.

It was synonymized subjectively with Itaphlebia ruderalis by Cao et al. (2016), Cao et al. (2022).
Stylopanorpodes eurypterus was named by Sun et al. (2007). Its type specimen is CNU-M-NN2006005, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2006 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.

It was synonymized subjectively with Itaphlebia ruderalis by Cao et al. (2016), Cao et al. (2022).
