Taxonomy
Agathaeromys praeuniversitatis was named by Zijlstra et al. (2010). Its type specimen is RGM 444401, a tooth (Right M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Seroe Grandi, which is in a Pleistocene fissure fill horizon in the Netherlands Antilles.
