Taxonomy
Croizetoceros proramosus was named by Dong (1996). Its type specimen is Faculté des Sciences Lyon 41312, a mandible (left mandible with p3-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Batterie du Serrat d'en Vacquer, which is in a Pliocene fluvial siltstone/sandstone in France.
