Taxonomy
Didolodus magnus was named by Gelfo (2010). Its type specimen is MPEF 7856, a tooth (left M2? with lingual root), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is El Nuevo, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.
