Patagonhippus canterensis

Taxonomy
Patagonhippus canterensis was named by López et al. (2010). Its type specimen is MPEF-PV 7087, a maxilla (maxilla fragments with right P2-M3 and left M2-3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Cantera, which is in a Rupelian terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Patagonhippus.
