Galileomys baios
Taxonomy
Galileomys baios was named by Vucetich et al. (2015). Its type specimen is MPEF-PV 10676, a mandible (left mandibular fragment with p4-m2, root of m3, and incisor), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cabeza Blanca, which is in a Deseadan terrestrial shale/claystone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.
