Taxonomy
Tacheria troyana was named by Krapovickas and Nasif (2011). Its type specimen is Tw1-1, a footprint ("The set manus-pes Tw1-1 included in one trackway (Tw1) with four footprints sets (Figures 3 and 4)."), and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Vinchina Formation, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Vinchina Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Tacheria.
