Andinogale sallensis
Taxonomy
Andinogale sallensis was named by Hoffstetter and Petter (1983). Its type specimen is MNHN SAL 92, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Salla, which is in a Deseadan terrestrial horizon in the Salla Formation of Bolivia.
It was synonymized subjectively with Sallacyon hoffstetteri by MacFadden et al. (1985).
