Taxonomy
Echinosomiscus primoticus was named by Engel and Wang (2016). Its type specimen is NIGP 163536, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (NIGP collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
