Mastotermes aethiopicus
Taxonomy
Mastotermes aethiopicus was named by Engel et al. (2016). Its type specimen is National Museum of Ethiopia MU34-12, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Mush Valley Dioscorea, which is in a Miocene pond volcaniclastic/mudstone in Ethiopia.
