Taxonomy
Fiaponeura penghiani was named by Lu et al. (2016). Its type specimen is EMTG BU-001679, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (EMTG collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
