Taxonomy
Palaeoperilestes electronicus was named by Zheng et al. (2016). Its type specimen is NIGP 163955, a wing, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (NIGP collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Palaeoperilestes.
