Oligotarsius rarus
Taxonomy
Oligotarsius rarus was named by Ni et al. (2016). Its type specimen is IVPP V22727, a set of teeth (Left M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lijiawa mammalian fossil locality, which is in an Oligocene fluvial mudstone/marl in the Caijiachong Formation of China. It is the type species of Oligotarsius.
