Qatranilestes oligocaenus
Taxonomy
Qatranilestes oligocaenus was named by Seiffert (2010). Its type specimen is YPM 24203, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry I (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Qatranilestes.
