Taxonomy
Sinopa jilinia was named by Morlo et al. (2014). Its type specimen is RCPS-CAMHD06-001, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gonglantou Oil Shale Mine, which is in a Lutetian mire/swamp shale/coal in the Huadian Formation of China.
