Taxonomy
Archaeolambda tabiensis was named by Huang (1977). Its type specimen is IVPP V4333, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yangxiaowu, Qianshan locality 71017, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Doumu Formation of China.
