Leptosaurus neptunius

Taxonomy
Lacerta neptunia was named by Goldfuss (1831). Its type specimen is "Collection de Bonn ? (no. 1305)" (partial skull) and is a compression fossil.

It was recombined as Homoeosaurus neptunius by Meyer (1847); it was misspelled as Homeosaurus neptunia by Grier (1914); it was recombined as Leptosaurus neptunius by Goldfuss (1831), Cocude-Michel (1963), Fabre (1981).
