Piocormus laticeps
Taxonomy
Piocormus laticeps was named by Wagner (1852). Its type specimen is Fig 42, pl. V; lost, but there is a cast at MNHN (nearly complete skeleton) and is a cast. Its type locality is Canjuers-Les Bessons quarry (micronatum biozone), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal lime mudstone/mudstone in France.
It was recombined as Sapheosaurus laticeps by Meyer (1860).
