Taxonomy
Diploptera savba was named by Šmídová (2016). Its type specimen is UCM 86312, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Anvil Points, Labandeira site, which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large lime mudstone in the Green River Formation of Colorado.
