Brevimalictis chikasha
Taxonomy
Brevimalictis chikasha was named by Smith et al. (2016). Its type specimen is UCMP 113319, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nevaxel V JHH Main Pocket- E Hill, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial claystone/conglomerate in the Monarch Mill Formation of Nevada. It is the type species of Brevimalictis.
