Taxonomy
Chailicyon crassidens was named by Chow (1975). Its type specimen is IVPP V4812 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Heti Formation Locality 1, which is in a Sharamurunian channel marl/sandstone in the Heti Formation of China. It is the type species of Chailicyon.
