Taxonomy
Mouillacitherium schlosseri was named by Sudre (1978). Its type specimen is BSP 1879 XV-138, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sainte Néboule, which is in a Priabonian karst claystone/phosphorite in France.
